100 Years of Technological Excellence

The Vancouver Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers celebrated 100 years of Technological Excellence in August of 2011.
To commemorate this milestone, a monument was erected this past month near the science center at False Creek. Mike Lanteigne, one of the project managers here at Brenco, offered ideas and materials to help bring the artists’ vision to life.
Though not lit in any way the IEEE logo at the top of the monument seems to glow because of the ingenious use of coloured Plexiglas layered between pieces of aluminum which draws in ambient light from the perimeter of the logo.
